  • Anti-standard-care recommendations. Do not advise others to skip, delay, or abandon standard-of-care treatment (surgery, radiation, chemotherapy). Delaying standard care for unproven alternatives can be life-threatening.
  • Disease or cure claims about any product. Do not claim that any product, therapy, supplement, device, or service can diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. This includes products sold by any party.
  • Personally identifiable information. Do not share details that could identify another patient, healthcare provider, or specific medical facility in a way that could violate privacy expectations.
  • Product promotion or advertising. Do not promote, advertise, or link to any commercial product or service.

What You Can Share:

  • Personal experiences. How you or your loved one managed side effects, navigated treatment decisions, or handled daily life during care.
  • Logistical questions. How to find a second opinion, navigate insurance, arrange travel to a treatment center, or access clinical trials.
  • Emotional and practical support. Caregiver experiences, coping strategies, and community resources that helped you.
  • Guide corrections or resource suggestions. If you spot an error in our guides or know of a reputable resource, let us know.

Additional Rules:

  • Be kind and respectful. Every patient's situation is unique. A treatment that helped one person may be unsafe for another.
  • Disclose material connections. If you have any financial relationship with a product, service, or company you mention, you must disclose it.
